Zina Renee Johnson

Zina Renee Johnson, 47, of Danville, passed away on April 6, 2014 at Provena Covenant Hospital in Urbana. She was born on May 27, 1966 in Danville, the daughter of Jasper and Norma Jean (Collins) McQueen. She married Murray Scott Johnson on November 29, 1990 in Danville. He survives. She will be deeply missed by Scott Johnson, son Chris (Shayna) McQueen, daughters, Heather Williams, Samantha Johnson and Norma Jean Johnson, one step daughter, Tabitha (David) Thrasher, fifteen grandchildren; Addison, Landon, Sophie, Kya, Zaden, Saydie, Zayleigh, Aubrie, Shaun, Kymani, Zai Lyn, Abel, Jahzarrya, Jamar, and Jhaziya, one brother, Rick King and sisters, Toni King, Lisa Russell, Nancy Freeman, Debbie McQueen and Jeanie McQueen. Renee was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Gloria King, three brothers, Raymond, Jackie, Jimmy McQueen and one grandson, little Chris. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was always having fun and spending time with her grandkids. She loved listening to music and playing games on the computer. She attended Second Church of Christ. Renee was always there helping her daughter Norma Jean. A celebration of life memorial service for Renee will be held on Friday, April 11, 2014 at 5:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville with Pastor Matt Filicsky officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00-5:00 PM prior to the service. Memorials can be made in her name in care of her family.
