Zackary Phillip Partin

Zackary Phillip Partin, 25 of Oakwood, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 11:40 AM at Fort Hood in Texas. He was born December 19, 1991 in Danville to Tim Partin of Oakwood and Vicki Lynn Partin of Danville. He is survived by his loving parents; his siblings, Justin Winters of Danville, Samantha Winters of Champaign, and Amanda (Jon) Homann of Oakwood; grandpa, Leroy (Sharon) Winter of Danville; aunts and uncles, Allen (Beth) Partin of Washington state, Pam (Dave) Taylor of Oakwood, Mike (Robyn) Partin of Danville, Cathy (Jerry) Summers of Lebanon, IN, and Richard, Michael, and Wanda Winters of Danville; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Phillip and Wanda "Faye" Partin and Joyce Arlene Winters. Zack was an active duty radio operator in the US Army and proudly served his country. He graduated from Oakwood High School in 2011 where he ran cross country and played baseball. He also enjoyed being outside, whether it be riding his motorcycle or bicycle, fishing, or kayaking. Zack enjoyed archery and shooting guns. Most days though you could find him playing video games. Zack was a very hard worker and dedicated man. He left a lasting impression on all he met and will be missed by so many who loved him. A celebration of Zack's life will be held at noon on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion, Danville. Pastor Jeremy Martens will officiate. Visitation will be held the night before from 4-7 PM on Friday January 20, 2017 at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at Oakwood Cemetery. Memorials can be made in his name to Toys for Tots.
