Yvonne V. Wilson, 85, of Danville, went to be with her Lord at 8:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 20TH, 2011 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. Yvonne was born on November 7th, 1925 in Kankakee, Illinois, the daughter of Frank Riley and Pearl (Rader) Bigger. She married James Woody Wilson on April 23rd, 1946. He preceded her in death on February 12th, 1996. She is survived by a son- Greg (Jo Ann Dalida-Wilson) Wilson of Catlin; daughter- LuAnn (Benny) Yu of Union City, California; five grandchildren- Zak Wilson, Michelle (John) Vice, Melissa Harrier, Andrew Yu and Allison Yu; two great-grandchildren- Addison and Alexandra Vice; three nieces- Val Chambers, Teresa Russell and Debbie Wilson; and nephew- Bruce Wilson. She was preceded in death by her father- Frank Bigger, mother- Pearl Smith, step-father- Charles Tobe Smith, son- Charles Douglas Wilson, two sisters- Nita Bigger and Marge Bohlmann, and two brothers- Billy Smith and Frank Bigger. Yvonne graduated from Milford High School in 1943. Shortly after they were married the C&EI Railroad brought Woody and Yvonne to Danville. She later began working at Eisner Food Store and First National Bank in Danville, for several years until they moved to Evansville. She worked for Old National Bank in Evansville, until she retired. After retiring they moved back to Danville. Yvonne was a member of Central Christian Church and Frontier Twirlers. She enjoyed playing Euchre, especially with her friends at CRIS. A Celebration of the life of Yvonne V. Wilson will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 23rd, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center a Life Celebration Home, with Pastor Deann Anderson officiating. Burial will follow the service in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
