Yvonne Nixon

Yvonne Nixon, 76, of Danville, Illinois passed away at her home on Thursday November 7, 2024. Yvonne was born the daughter of Robert and Elsie (McCellan) Cook on February 28, 1948, in Danville, Illinois. Yvonne married Harold Nixon on July 30, 1993, and they enjoyed 31 years together until his passing August 24, 2024.

Yvonne leaves behind her three sons’ James Allan, Robert Evertte, and Roger Leroy Baldwin, three grandchildren; Shyan Mitchell, Brooke Rapp, and Samantha Marie Baldwin, her brother Darryl Cook, and many nieces and nephews.

Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Harold.

Yvonne worked as a Team Leader in manufacturing working her way up to be a manager. She enjoyed gardening, working around the house, mushroom hunting, and fishing. Most of all Yvonne loved the time she spent with her family.

Visitation for Yvonne will be held on Wednesday November 13, 2024, from noon till 1:30pm at Sunsets’ Houghton Leasure Funeral Home in Georgetown Illinois 200 E West Street. Service will be at 1:30 at the funeral home. Pastor James Blue officiating. Burial to follow at Hicks’ Cemetery in Perrysville, Indiana.
