WESTVILLE - Yolanda M. Merlie, 70, of Westville, passed away at 10:30am, Monday, January 21st, 2008, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL. She was born on July 8th, 1937, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Rudy and Armida (Iorio) Grosso, both deceased. She was united in marriage to John Kaluza in 1956 until his death in 1981. She later married Armand J. Merlie in 1999. He will miss her dearly. Others who will also miss her include: her children, Randy (Candy) Kaluza of Morton, IL & Rena (Rich) Pate of Danville; her step children, Lori (Wayne) Schafer of Brighton, IL, Sandy (Bob) Turba of Cleveland, OH, and Michelle (Shane) Smith of Elburn, IL; her grandchildren, Alexandra Pate & Michael (Trisha) Kaluza; her step grandchildren, Blake Brandt, Lexy Schafer, Serena Schafer, Marissa Turba, Clarice Turba, Emma Wallace, & Audrey Smith; her sister, Kay (Bill) Moody of Danville; her nephews, Darren (Jackie) Moody of Westville & John (Chris) Moody of Golden Valley, AZ; her great nieces; Danielle Moody of Golden Valley, AZ & Taylor Moody of Westville. She was Assistant Vice President of First National Bank of Danville/Westville serving the Westville community for over fifteen years. She was a member of St. Isaac Jogues Parish of Georgetown. She enjoyed traveling and shopping. She was known as the Goodie Fairy to her daughter, Renas, first grade classroom at Southwest Elementary School. She cherished the time she spent with grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am, Thursday, January 24th, 2008, at St. Isaac Jogues Parish, 109 W 7th St, Georgetown, IL. Father John Paninski will officiate the service. Visitation will be 4p-7p, Wednesday, January 23rd, 2008, at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, 414 S State St, Westville, IL. Memorial donations may be given in Yolandas name to St. Isaacs Fund for Flowers.
