Yolanda 'Dolly' Acree

Yolanda "Dolly" Acree, 78, of Danville, passed away at 1:35 AM on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at North Logan Healthcare in Danville. Yolanda was born on January 23, 1934 in Chester, PA, the daughter of Salvatore and Rose (Fusco) Volpe. She married Phillip Howie Sr. in 1956 and later divorced in 1975. He survives. She is survived by two sons- Phillip (Anita) Howie II of Danville, Dave (Heather) Howie of Mt. Holly Springs, PA, one daughter- Janice (Marc) Killion of Danville, two brothers- Johnny Volpe of Pennsylvania and Albert Volpe of California, one sister- Mary Archacki of Pennsylvania and seven grandchildren- Alicia, Kalie, Kelsey, Phillip III, Joshua, Tayler and Noah. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother- Tony Volpe. Yolanda loved visiting with friends at the Village Mall in Danville and taking care of her grandkids. A celebration of Yolanda's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 12, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville with Fr. Jack Flattery officiating. A visitation will be held from 9:00-11:00 AM prior to the service. Entombment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park.
