Wynogene "Winnie" Mccollum

Covington, Ind. - Wynogene "Winnie" McCollum, 86, of Covington, Indiana, passed away at 3:20 a.m. ESt, Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at The Waters of Covington in Covington, Indiana. She was born July 14, 1926 in Indianapolis, Indiana, the daughter of the late Frank and Lucile Leas Davidson. She married James W. McCollum on March 23, 1946 in Covington, Indiana. He preceded her in death on February 14, 1968. Survivors include one daughter, Linda(Tom)Holt of Covington, Indiana; four grandchildren, Tracy(David)Moore and Cindy(Alan)Conner both of Covington, Indiana; Lori Branigin and C.J.(Christy)McCollum both of Catlin, Illinois; seven great grandchildren, Lynzi Conner, Justin and Jacob Moore, Max and Ben Branigin, Anna and Ross McCollum. She was preceded in death by her son, Charles E. McCollum on January 23, 1978. Her hobbies were enjoying spending time with her family, friends, traveling and just "LIFE". She was also always ready to help other people. Funeral services: 11 a.m. EST Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Osborne Prairie Church east of Covington, Indiana; Officiating: Terry Martin; Burial: Osborne Prairie Church Cemetery; Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. EST Friday, November 30, 2012 and one hour prior to services at the church. Contributions may be made to the Fountain County 4-H Council or Osborn Prairie Cemetery Board. DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana is in charge of arrangements.
