Wyatt Allen Pope, 9, of Georgetown, passed away at 8:46am, Saturday, October 12, 2019, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. He was born on February 26, 2010, in Danville, IL, the son of Tyler Pope and Brittany Brockett.

Wyatt attended Pine Crest School and was in the 4th Grade. He enjoyed playing Fortnite, playing basketball and baseball and making YouTube videos. He was beginning to show talent for drawing. Wyatt was an eater and his favorite was grilled cheese sandwiches and chicken nuggets.

Wyatt will be dearly missed by: his mother, Brittany (Skylar) Bankhead; his grandparents, Mack & Denise Brockett; his grandpa, Dennis (Maggie Strawser) Pope; his grandma, Debrea Dunagan; his great grandma, Evelyn Williamson; his great grandpa, Jim Pope; his step-grandparents, Jewell & Irene Bankhead; his sister, Alyyana Bankhead; his aunts & uncles, Kla (Tremaine) Brockett, Dustin Brockett, Mack Brockett Jr., Josh Felix, Rose (Damon) Downing, Iona Eads, Dawn Brockett, Jerry, Cliff, & Kenny, Jeff (Patty) Pope, & Debbie (Kelly) Pope; his cousins, Angelo, Trey, Damon, Shaylynn, Gauge, & Audreaunna; and many extended family & friends, who will mourn him. He was preceded in death by: his father, Tyler; his great grandma, Sue Pope; his great grandma, Evelyn Brockett; his great grandpa, Jerry Clemmons; his step-grandpa, William Williamson; and his great grandpa, Mack Brockett.

Tyler Pope, 29, of Danville, passed away on October 9, 2019, at OSF Sacred Heart of Mary Medical Center, Danville. He was born on August 16, 1990, in Urbana.

He will be missed by: his father, Dennis (Maggie Strawser) Pope; his mother, Debrea Dunagan; his grandfather, Jim Pope; his grandmother, Elizabeth Dunagan; his uncle, Jeff (Patty) Pope; his aunt, Debbie (Kelly) Pope; his cousin, Trey. He was preceded in death by his grandma, Sue Pope.

Tyler worked at the Pilot Station in Covington, IN. In his younger years, he loved to play basketball at North Ridge School. His love of basketball carried on through his son, Wyatt, who he bought Michael Jordans shoes for. They also enjoyed playing catch together. He also liked playing cornhole and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.

A celebration of both Wyatt and Tylers lives will be held at 1:00pm, Friday, October 18, 2019, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Georgetown, located at 200 E West St, with Kevin Cox officiating. Visitation will be held 10:00am to 1:00pm on Friday prior to his services at the funeral home. They will be laid to rest together at Oak Hill Cemetery, Danville. Memorial donations may be given in Wyatts memory to his family to help with final expenses through Sunset Funeral Home or through Longview Bank.
