Winifred E. Winnie Bush, 83, of Danville, Illinois passed away on May 16, 2010 at the Hawthorne Inn in Danville. Winifred was born June 17, 1926 in Danville, Illinois daughter of Guy and Leona (Arnold) Ludwig. She married William Bud Bush on April 14, 1946 in Danville. He preceded her in death. Survivors include three children: Diane J. (Jack) Webb of Denver, CO, Margaret S. (Dan) Houpt of Oakwood, IL, and Bill (Sandy) Bush of Danville, IL; brother: Lloyd (Sally) Ludwig of Tacoma, WA; sisters: Lois (Harold) Clawson of Jamestown, IN and Patricia Owens of Lebanon, IN; sister-in-law: Lucille Ludwig of Danville, IL; seven grandchildren: Aaron (Agnes) Jacks of Denver, CO, Todd (Julia) Reynolds, Jason (Nikki) Reynolds, Charlyn (Matt) Hester, Sean Bush, Kevin Bush, and Cody Bush all of Danville, IL; ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Robert Bob Ludwig. Winifred was a graduate of Oakwood High School and had worked for Second National and First Midwest Bank for many years in the farm department, as well as working with her husband on the family farm north of Danville. She was a member of CrossRoads Christian Church in Danville. Winifred enjoyed arts & crafts, flowers, camping, fishing, gardening, and hummingbirds; but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also corresponded by letter to her daughter Margarets second grade class to encourage their writing skills. A Celebration of Winifreds Life will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, May 20, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion St. Danville, IL with Pastor Miles Clark officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-7 pm Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville.
