Tangier, Ind. -- Winfred "Dutch" Livengood, 94, of Tangier, passed away at 9:17 p.m. EST Thursday (November 2, 2006) at the Heritage House of Clinton in Clinton, Indiana. He was born October 9, 1912, in Knobel, Arkansas, the son of the late Ira Eston and Julia Garrett Livengood. He married Dessire Goodwin on November 30, 1931 in Rockville, Indiana. She survives. Other survivors include his children: Charles Livengood and Helen Bishop both of Tangier, Indiana; Betty(Bill)Sowers of Rockville, Indiana; Bonnie(Royce)Austin of Bloomington, Indiana and Bill(Donna)Livengood of Mitchell, Indiana; 15 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren and 21 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one grandson, one great grandson, one infant sister, two brothers, one half sister and three step brothers. Dutch was a retired farmer and snowbird, spending most of his retirement years in south Texas. He was a member of the Kingman Masonic Lodge #314 F&AM, Scottish Rite and the Zorah Shriners in Terre Haute, Indiana. Funeral Services: 10 a.m. EST Monday, November 6, 2006 at DeVerter Brothers Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Burial: Miller Cemetery, Lodi, Indiana; Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. EST Sunday, November 5, 2006 at the funeral home; Family request contributions be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 1900 Richmond Road, Lexington, Kentucky 40502.
