Winford Fegett

Winford Fegett, age 88, of Danville, passed away at 4:45 am on Thursday, September 27, 2007 at North Logan Health Care. He was born November 29, 1918 in Horse Cave, Kentucky the son of Henry and Mattie (Davidson) Fegett. He married Martha Dunavan in July of 1940 in Danville. She preceded him in death on September 17, 2007. Winford is survived by two sons: Danny (Shirley) Fegett of Danville and Donny Fegett of Danville; four sisters: Ernestine, Barbara Jean, Wilma, and Lillian; three grandchildren: Danny Lee Fegett of Danville, Stacie (Carl) Rossiter of Oakwood, Donna Payne of Danville; six great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and seven half sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, three sisters: Maxine, Judy, Arlene, and one brother: James. Winford worked in numerous factories including Danville Metal Stamping. He also drove a truck for Fred Pierce. He enjoyed playing his guitar and singing at Blue Grass Festivals around the area. Winford loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He attended the Assembly of God Church.
