Wilma L. Williamson, 83, of Danville passed away on May 24, 2009 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. Wilma was born October 10, 1925 in Burns County, Illinois daughter of Louis and Louise Demay Wiedle. She married Herman Williamson on November 9, 1946 in Washington DC. He survives along with four children: Roger (Joanne) Williamson of Davenport, IA, Randall (Martha) Williamson of Bismarck, IL, Rhonda (Scott) Walter of Danville, IL, and Rose (Gary) Mammele of Danville, IL; brother: Wayne (Phyllis) Wiedle of Kewanee, IL; grandchildren: Sandra (Dave) Kaas, Rhonda (Ronnie) Lopez, Rachel (Todd) Davis, Robby (Terra) Williamson, Sean Walter, and John Walter; great-grandchildren: Kylie Kaas, Taylor Kaas, Justin Farrier, Jessica Lopez, and Lauren Davis. She was preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter, and a brother and sister. Wilma was a 43 graduate of Kewanee High School and was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church, and 50+ years member of the Order of the Eastern Star #43 Harmony Chapter in Kewanee, IL, Danville Salty Sams, and the Good Sams traveling club. She enjoyed to bake pies, but most of all she loved to spend time with her grandchildren. A Celebration of Wilmas Life will be held at 10:30 am, Thursday, May 28, 2009 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion St. Danville, IL with Pastor Glen Huffman officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-7 pm Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Danville National Cemetery.
