Wilma Wait

GEORGETOWN- Wilma V. Wait, 81, of Georgetown, passed away at 4:50am on Saturday, August 26, 2006 at her residence with her family at her side. Wilma was born on September 9, 1924, in Missouri, the daughter of Willis and Geraldine (Wilson) Kelley. Both her parents precede her in death. On August 19, 1944, Wilma married Max G. Wait in Danville. He preceded her in death in Feb of 1996. Those who will miss her include: Sally Jo (Scott) Campbell of Atlanta GA, Patty (Mike) Kelley of Georgetown, Teri (Milton) Austin of Georgetown, and Juli Wait of Georgetown; her 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; her sister; Rowena Deeken of Danville; and numerous nieces and nephews. Her brother-Gene Kelley preceded Wilma in death. Wilma was a member of the First Church of Christ in Georgetown, a Danville High School Graduate, and was employed with General Electric, and later retiring from Tee Pak after 31 years of service. Wilma enjoyed crocheting and shoe shopping, as well as spending time with her family and friends. Per Wilmas wishes, she was cremated and a memorial service will be held at 7:00pm on Tuesday, August 29, 2006 at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home located at 200 E. West St in Georgetown. Reverend James Blue will officiate the service. Visitation will be held between 5-7pm on Tuesday, August 29, 2006 at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made in Wilmas name to Carle Hospice.
