Wilma J. {Pollard} Wise, 70, of Georgetown, passed away at 1:40am, Thursday, November 17, 2011, at Provena USMC, Danville. She was born on November 13, 1941, in Newport, Indiana the daughter of Ernest and Lula {Crowder} Pollard, both deceased. She was united in marriage to Larry Wise on March 23, 1961, in Ridge Farm. He will miss her dearly. She will also be missed by: her daughter, Debra (Lloyd) Stark of Danville; her grandchildren, Thomas Fisher of Olivet, Chelsee Stark, Eric Stark, & Drew Stark, all of Danville; her step-grandchildren, Lucas Stark & Felisha Stark, both of Danville; great-grandchildren; Riley and Mya, Ahrienna, Lucinda, Lilly, Elijah, Davey and Destiny, and her sister, Alita (Larry) Schlunaker of Danville. She was preceded in death by a son Michael, three brothers; Paul, Morris and Freeman Pollard Wilma worked as a Nurse and retired from Provena USMC. In her early years, she worked at the former Coates Apple Orchards in Olivet and as an Avon distributor. She enjoyed making Afghans and quilts, as well as, gardening and caring for her home, she liked to fish and mushroom hunt along with berry picking and making jelly, as well as loved sitting on the river bank and loved to water ski. Wilma cherished her family and loved spending time with each of them, especially her grandchildren. A celebration of Wilma's life will be held at 2:00p.m. Saturday November 19, 2011 at Sunset's Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, Georgetown with Pastor James Walker officiating. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Vermilion Grove Cemetery.
