Wilma J. Hibler, 72, of Danville, passed away at 2:44 p.m. Saturday, March 20, 2010 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. Wilma was born on June 29, 1937 in Danville, the daughter of Earl and Marie (Lourance) Wonderlin. She married Ronald L. Hibler on September 4, 1954 in Danville. He preceded her in death on November 23, 1997. She is survived by her two sons-Jeff (Mary) Hibler and Ronnie (Tammy Kittle) Hibler both of Danville; two daughters- Terri McClure of Spring Hill, Tennessee and Penny (Brian) Bensyl of Danville; father- Earl Wonderlin of Danville; one sister- Donna (Russ) Hibler of Danville; nine grandchildren- Stacey White, Lindy Kelley, Sara Hibler, Jenny Hibler, J.D. Hibler, Corey and Cody Roberts, Drew and Ann Hibler; six great-grandchildren- Kelsey Toy, William and Kayden Kelley, Jayden and Jaydah Arrowsmith and Camden Wilson; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, husband, nephew, and a brother- Bill Wonderlin. Wilma attended Oakwood High School. After high school, she worked at Illinois Bell for several years and later was a homemaker while her children were in school. She later returned to work and worked in the Palmer Bank License Department for several years, until she retired in 1994. Wilma was a member of the Hillery Assembly of God and the Oakhill Cemetery Association. She loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. Wilma always wanted to take care of as many people as she could. She also enjoyed spending time with her life-long friends- Doris Clark, Jodell Sullivan, Patsy Barteck and several other very close friends. Wilma also enjoyed planting flowers, watching the birds and was an avid Chicago Cubs and Illini basketball fan. Wilmas greatest love was her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. A Celebration of the life of Wilma J. Hibler will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, with Pastor Kenny Young officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Wilma will be laid to rest following the service at Oakhill Cemetery.
