Wilma C. Osborne

Danville- Wilma C. Osborne, 95, of Danville passed away at 12:55 PM on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on January 19, 1918 in Danville to Frank and Lola Hawkins Graham, and further raised by Charlotte Graham. She married Lowell E. Osborne on November 30, 1936 in Danville. He preceded her in death in November of 1996. Surviving are a daughter, Barbara Robinson of Danville; five grandchildren, Tony (Kathy) Hanson, Tammy Bennett, Tim Robinson, Robie (Todd) Woods, and Richie Robinson; great-grandchildren, Candy (Jason) Dixon, Billy Bennett, Rachel Bennett, Teena (Jonathan) Dixon, K'La (Anthony) Fuentes, Chase Robinson, Chelsey Robinson, Tylre Ball, Cruz Robinson, Casey Robinson, Jordyn Woods, and Wade Mascari; and great-great grandchildren Ella and Nolan Dixon, Devin, Destiney, Isaac, Conner and Seth Bennett, Ava Dixon, and Preston Fuentes. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, a brother, two sisters, and a great-grandson. Wilma worked as a sales clerk at Sears in Danville in the Ladies, Ready-to-Wear Department until her retirement after 38 years of service. She enjoyed camping, fishing, tennis, swimming, and rummaging with her sister. Most of all, Wilma loved to spend time with her family. A service to celebrate the life of Wilma Osborne will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, a Life Celebration Home in Danville. Pastor Mark Keyser will officiate. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 5-8 PM on Friday, July 19, also at Sunset in Danville. Memorials may be made to Schlarman Academy or to Ridgeview Baptist Church.
