CHAMPAIGN- William Z. Laws II, 33, of Champaign, died at 9:17 p.m. on Thursday (September 26, 2013) at Presence Covenant Medical Center in Urbana. William was born on August 20, 1980 in Champaign, the son of William Laws and Jennise Cowart-Stump. He is survived by his father, William (Kelly) Laws; four sons, William Laws III, Teron Laws, Treavon Laws, and Karmon Laws; four daughters, Tyanna Session, Stania Newbern, Kyla Laws, and Tatum Laws; two brothers, Vance Laws and Montrel Morris; two sisters, Tanoka (Jonah) Nance and Zarra (Sicari) Strickland; two step-brothers, Wesley Laws and Navin Linzy; five step-sisters, Liza Taylor, Markawna Stump, Kortney English, Brooke Lodis, and Roslyn Stump; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his mother, two grandfathers, and one grandmother. William enjoyed playing chess and basketball. But most of all loved spending time with his children. A service to celebrate and remember the life of William Z. Laws II will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Sunsets Champaign-Urbana Chapel.
