William Wright, Sr

Danville William A. Wright, Sr., 88, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 12, 2019 at his son Michaels home in Danville.

William was born on November 5, 1930 the son of Michael A. and Irene (Hamilton) Wright in Danville. He married Delores Louise Drews on February 4, 1956 in Danville, IL and she preceded him in death on May 31, 2003.

Survivors include his two sons; Michael L. Wright of Danville, IL and William A. (Kim) Wright, Jr, of Danville, IL, three grandchildren; Kaitlin (Chris) Spratt of St. Louis, MO, Brennen Wright of Boulder, CO and Lauren (Matt) Brody of St. Louis, MO as well as two great-grandchildren; Benjamin Spratt and Addilyn Spratt and several nieces, nephews and great nieces, and nephews

William was a Member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Danville and was a Retired Postal Clerk with the United States Post office. William served his country in the United States Army from Sept 13 1951 until he was Honorably Discharged in Aug. 21 1953 He enjoyed spending his free time camping with his family and being with his grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, 824 East Main Street, Danville, IL with Pastor Kent Tibben officiating. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery with Military Rites accorded by American Legion Post 210. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 19, 2019, from 3:00 6:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St., Danville, Illinois 61834, and one hour prior to services at Trinity Lutheran Church.
