William W. Lucas, 87, of Danville passed away on May 22, 2017 at his home in Danville, IL. He was born in Crown Point, IN on July 20, 1929. William is survived by his spouse, Shirley and son, Richard Lucas. William and Shirley McCarley married on January 7, 1950 in Henning, IL. They had two sons, Donald (deceased) and Richard Lucas. William was a general contractor for his family business then worked in maintenance and was a bus driver for Community Unit School District #1 in Bismarck, IL for many years. He enjoyed spending time with friends having coffee at McDonalds and loved spending his winters in Fruitland Park, FL. Most of all he enjoyed time spent with family and his cat, Missy. Visitation will be 10-11 AM on Friday, May 26, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 North Vermilion Street, Danville, IL 61834.
