William Standwich

William Standwich Jr., 80, of Danville passed away on March 1, 2010 at his residence. William was born July 13, 1929 in Danville son of William and Merle Standwich Sr. He married Mildred Fauver on October 16, 1952 in Danville. She preceded him in November of 2006. Survivors include son: William (Patty) Standwich III of Danville, two daughters: Sherri (Dave) Hart of Danville and Janet (Dan) Negangard of Catlin; seven grandchildren: Sam Standwich, Kahla Standwich, Eric Norgaar, Annie (Duane) Greer, Justin (Kelly) Lenfesty, Dylan Negangard, and Rachel Negangard; two great-grandchildren: Alivia & Olivia. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Terri. William was a graduate of Danville High School and had worked for Illinois Printing and later retired from R&S Printing. He enjoyed camping, fishing, woodworking, and restoring VW Bugs, but most of all he loved spending time with his family & friends, especially his daily ride with his son and beloved dog Kodi. A Celebration of Williams Life will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, March 4, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion St. Danville, IL. Visitation will be held from 4-8 Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Following the service, he will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville.
