William Shults

William Shults, 72, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2020 at Richland Nursing and Rehab in Olney, IL. He was born on January 8, 1948 the son of James and Estelle (Tweedy) Shults in Jackson, TN. They precede him in death.

Also preceding William in death include his brother, Marvin Shults; grandson, Johnathan Lewandowski; and mother in law, Nellie Nolan.

William leaves behind his wife of 54 years, Belinda Shults; children, Johnnie (Noreen) Shults and Rhonda Shults; grandchildren, Sarabeth Shults and Nicholas Lewandowski; great grandchildren, Zoe Shults, Heavenlee Shults, and Hunter Shults; brothers, James (Bobbie) Shults and James David (Peggy) Shults; and sisters, Mary (Paul) Ingram and Mary Shults.

William was an amazing husband, dad, and friend. He was a friend to everyone and never met a stranger. He loved and served the Lord. He was a man of integrity and his work ethic was second to none. William is infamous for his whit. He was a mans man, a good leader, and a role model. He will be sorely missed.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at the Alvin Church of God at 109 South St, Alvin, IL 61811. Officiating will be Pastor Dan Hunt. Burial will be in Walnut Corner Cemetery. Visitation will be held just prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the church. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834 has been entrusted with arrangements.
