William A Russell, Jr

William A Russell, Jr, 81, of Danville, IL passed away at 7:15 AM on September 13, 2025 at Goldwater Care in Danville, IL.

William was born on August 23, 1944 in Danville the son of William and Dolores J (Osborne) Russell, Sr.

William is survived by several cousin and extended family.

William is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Roseanne Woodford.

William was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and served in the United States Army from December 8, 1966 until October 15, 1968. William worked at Fagan’s Auto Parts and loved fast cars. Over the years William owned several Muscle Cars including, but not limited to, Plymouth Road Runners and Ford Mustangs.

A Graveside Service for William will be held at Noon on Thursday, September 18, 2025 at Danville National Cemetery in Danville, IL with Military Rites accorded by American Legion Post 210 Honor Guard. Reverend James Yonkers will officiate. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834 is assisting the family with arrangements.
