William A. Rogers, Jr.

Georgetown – William “Will” A. Rogers, Jr., 69, of Georgetown passed away at 4:36 PM on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at OSF Saint Joseph Hospital in Bloomington. He was born on September 6, 1956, in Honolulu, HI to William A. Rogers, Sr. and Dorothy Rogers. He married Cindy Lou Huffman in 1981. She preceded him in death.

Surviving are a son, Wade (Winter) Rogers of Thomasboro, IL; three grandchildren, Orion, Windy, and Christina Rogers; and his two beloved dogs, Abby and Sassy.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents.

Will proudly served his country by enlisting in the United States Navy, where he remained faithfully until retirement. He was a true patriot and loved his country and the time he was able to give. Will also loved animals, especially his dogs, and enjoyed taking care of them. On game days, he could often be found cheering on his favorite team, the Indianapolis Colts.

A graveside ceremony to honor William A. Rogers, Jr. will be held at 1 PM on Friday, March 27, 2026, at Danville National Cemetery in Danville, IL. American Legion Post #210 will conduct military honors. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion St., Danville, IL 61834 has been entrusted with arrangements.
