William Robert'Billy Bob Mclaughlin

William Robert Billy Bob McLaughlin, 91, of St. Louis, MO., formerly of Hedrick, IN, and Danville, IL, passed this Life on Sunday, August 22, 2010 at the Geitner House in St. Louis, MO. He was born on Mach 26, 1919, in Warren County, IN, the son of Edward and Helen (Pratt) McLaughlin. Bill graduated from Williamsport Indiana High School, and served in the United States Army during WWII. After the service, Bill worked in retail at a clothing firm located in the St. Louis area until retirement. He is survived and will be missed by his 3 nieces, LuAnn (Mike) Powers of Tilton, Janet (Leroy) Palin, Jill Spencer, and his nephew, Michael McLaughlin. His parents, 2 brothers, Harold and Eddie McLaughlin, his sister, Fern Spencer, and one nephew, Rodney McLaughlin preceded Bill in death. Bill enjoyed St. Louis Cardinals Baseball and visiting the Mississippi Queen River Boat in St. Louis. He enjoyed life to the fullest and will be missed by all that knew him. A Celebration of William Bill McLaughlins Life will begin at 5:00pm on Friday, August 27, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home, located at 3940 N. Vermilion St. in Danville with military honors to follow. Pastor James Blue has been asked to officiate. Visitation for family and friends will be from 4:00pm until time of service on Friday at the funeral home. Private burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Park.
