Cayuga, Ind. - William R. Woodard, 74, of Cayuga, passed away at 2:55 p.m. EDT Friday, April 24, 2015 at his residence in Cayuga. William was born November 17, 1940 in Danville, Illinois the son of the late William Scott and Mary Mageline Bennett Woodard. He married Sandra Moss on October 30, 1959 in Danville, Illinois, celebrating 55 years of marriage. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Bill(Julie)Woodard, Jr. and Scott(Susan)Woodard both of Cayuga, Indiana; four grandchildren, Brayden, Regan, Linzi and Gage; one brother, Paul "Cork" Woodard; sister-in-law, Betty Woodard of Cayuga, Indiana; two brother-in-laws, Joe Daniels of Cayuga, Indiana and Ronald Dicken of Danville, Illinois; Nieces, Debbie Smith; Cindy Wilson; Tammy Brook and Crystal Dicken; Nephews, Charles Woodard; Paul Hamilton; Danny Daniels; Donnie Daniels; Rusty Dicken; Ronnie Dicken and Josh Dicken. William was preceded in death by two sisters, Carol Daniels and Joyce Newnum; one brother, Charles Woodard; sister-in-law, Edna Woodard and niece, Amy Woodard. William was a machinist at TeePak for 45 years, retiring in 2005. He was a 1958 graduate of Cayuga High School. William enjoyed hunting, fishing and mushrooming. He was an official for basketball and baseball in his younger days. His greatest joy was following his grand kids Brayden, Regan, Linzi and Gage in all their athletic events. Funeral services: 1 p.m. EDT Monday, April 27, 2015 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Rev. Don Morgan; Burial: Eugene Cemetery in Eugene, Indiana; Visitation: 11 a.m. EDT Monday, April 27, 2015 until time of services at the funeral home.
