William Mickey Mc Mahon

William "Mickey" Mc Mahon, 80, of Aurora, IL. passed away at 5:50 PM August 7, 2004 at the Veteran Administration Illiana Health Care Center in Danville. He was born December 22, 1923 in Gillespie, IL. the son of the late William S. and Helen ( Shields) Mc Mahon. William married Mary V. Browne on May 4, 1946 in Long Island, N.Y. Mickey is survived by 2 sons: James (Sharon) Mc Mahon of Danville, and John (Tammy) Mc Mahon of Williamsport, IN. and 3 daughters Mary (Bill) Vanderlinden of Montgomery, IL. Louise Kain of Aurora, IL, and Jo Lynn Mc Mahon of Danville. Bill also has 13 grandchildren: Billy, Tommy, Dana, Jason , Adam ,Chris, Lisa, Colleen, Genna, Mary Lou, Jennifer, Shawn, Ian and 11 great-grandchildren Thaylor, Jacob, Kelsey, Caden, Ely, Ethan, Austin, Faith, Joshua, Zachary, and Kristen. Bill was a veteran of the Army Air corps during World War II where he achieved the rank of Sergeant. Bill retired as general manager of the International Garment Union. He and Mary also ran the Handy Pantry on Farnsworth in Aurora from 1955-1965. Bill was past Commander of American Legion Post 256 in Cicero,IL., a member of the Knights of Columbus, 3rd Ward Club, Eagles Club in Aurora and a volunteer fireman in Moecherville. He also was a member of St. Terese Catholic Church of Aurora.
