William L. Watson

Danville - William L. Watson, 81, of Danville went to heaven to be with the love of his life, Wilma A. Watson at 8:36 am on January 30, 2018 at Danville Care in Danville, IL. William was born on September 3, 1936 the son of Gerald and Pansy E. (Newman) Watson. William married Wilma Dudley on May 27, 1960 and she preceded him in death in April of 2015. William is survived by his son, Roger (OnnaLee) Ford, one brother, Jerry (Barb) Watson, Sr., one sister, Geraldine, a daughter like friend, Frankey Mae Basso, two granddaughters, one grandson, ten great grandchildren, one great granddaughter as well as several five nieces, five nephews, as well as many great nieces, and great nephews. William is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Wilma as well as a daughter and one grandson. A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday, February 4, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N Vermilion Street Danville, IL. Rod Godley will officiate. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 4, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Danville on Monday, February 5, 2018 as a private committal. Memorials may be made in William's memory to the Vermilion Heights Christian Church.
