William Kearns

William P. Kearns, 65, of Olivet, IL passed away at 5:20 p.m. Friday March 19, 2010 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL. He was born on September 19, 1944 in Cleveland, OH the son of William and Mary (McNeeley) Kearns. He married Donna Woody on March 7, 1992 in Danville, IL. She survives. Other survivors include his son, Jeffrey Kearns, his stepson, Troy (Bobbie) Miller of Bloomington, IL and their children, Sabrina and Zachary Miller, his brothers and sisters, Robert Kearns of Sorrento, FL, Margaret (Brian) Sedey of FL, and Patrick (Laureen) Kearns of Mentor, OH, his sisters-in-law, Michele Kearns of Brunswick, OH, and Cheryl Evans of Georgetown. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Joseph Kearns, and a sister-in-law, Mary Kearns. William was a veteran of the US Navy, serving during Vietnam. He was a member of the American Legion in Arlington Heights and the Asbestos Workers Local #3, out of Cleveland, OH. William enjoyed fishing and traveling and was always there for his family. A celebration of Williams life will be held at 1 pm. Wednesday March 24, 2010 at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home 200 E. West St. Georgetown, IL. Pastor James Blue will officiate.
