William “Joe” Dillion, 63, of Danville, IL, passed away on Monday May 19th, 2014 while working in his garden. He was born July 3, 1950 in Scuddy Kentucky, the son of Leroy and Thelma (Brown) Dillion. He married the love of his life, Dorothy Williams, on September 6, 1968, she survives. Other survivors include daughter Deanna (Barry) Dickerson, sons Dennis (Dee) and Brad (Lori) Dillion, and numerous family and friends. Joes family settled in Danville in 1954. An avid outdoorsman, Joe loved hunting, fishing, working in his garden and taking care of his animals. A friend to all who knew him, Joe enjoyed playing pool, singing karaoke and hanging out with friends. Above all else he loved spending time with his family. He will be remembered as a man you could count on for advice, a kind word and support, or for his great big smile, kiss and a hug. A celebration of Joes life will be held at 5:00 pm on Monday, May 26, 2014 at the Community Church of God in Danville. A visitation will be held an hour prior to the service 4:00 pm. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A life Celebration Home in Danville are assisting with arrangements. The family asks that any floral tributes be sent to the church.
