William Howard Barrick

William Howard “Bill” Barrick, devoted father and grandfather, 67, passed away on March 3, 2015, at the Waters of Covington nursing home in IN of natural causes. He was born on November 27, 1947, to Mary Francis (Lee) and Ward Barrick. Bill grew up in Elgin, IL. He graduated from Larkin High School in Elgin, IL in 1965, and The University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign in 1970, where he received his Bachelors degree in Accounting. During college, he received Jesus Christ as his personal savior and dedicated his entire life to telling others of the hope and love of Gods saving grace. He and his former wife, Terri (Bartlett) Hibbard, became full-time missionaries with Campus Crusade for Christ after his college graduation. His gracious attitude and enduring spirit after suffering a brain injury at 29 inspires others to find the good in every situation and to always trust God. He is survived by two daughters, Rebecca (Blayne Grady) and Christy (Chris Hanson) and eight grandchildren, John, Jillian and Madison Grady, and Rachel, Esther, Katelyn, Hope and Mariah Hanson. He was preceded in death by his son, Chad William Barrick, and both parents. A funeral service will be held at The Vineyard Church, 3733 Poolside Dr., Danville, IL on Sat. Mar. 7 at 6:30pm. The family will be greeting friends and relatives immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Inspirations Ministries, P.O.
