William G. Haworth

Newport, Ind. - William G. Haworth, 68, of Newport, passed away at 8:26 a.m. EST Wednesday, November 19, 2008 in rural Cayuga, Indiana. He was born July 24, 1940 in Newport, Indiana, the son of the late William and Iva B. Peer Haworth. Survivors include two sons, Alan S.(Faith) Haworth of Ferdinand, Indiana and Patrick E. Haworth of Sullivan, Indiana; one sister, Elizabeth Billings of Sevierville, Tennessee; two nieces, Deborah Leaidicker of Cottage Grove, Tennessee and Christine Houston of Cumberland Furnace, Tennessee; four nephews, Tim White of Ashland City, Tennessee; Terry White of Calvert City, Kentucky; Frank Billings of Petersburg, Virginia and Marshall Billings of Sevierville, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by two nephews, Thomas and David White. William was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving with the United States Army. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking. Graveside services and burial of cremains will be at 10 a.m. (Illinois Time) Monday, December 15, 2008 at the Danville National Cemetery in Danville, Illinois with graveside military rites conducted by the Danville V.F.W. Post # 728. DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana in charge of arrangements.
