Danville - William Edward Bone, 88, of Danville passed away on December 25, 2013 at the Hawthorne Inn of Danville. He was born on December 23, 1925 in Tuckerman, AR to Kenneth Edward and Mildred Hurst Bone. He spent 67 years happily married to Beatrice A “Bea” Baker. They married on January 22, 1944. She preceded him in death on February 26, 2012. He is survived by three children, Ann (Kenneth) Dicken of Bismarck, Ed (Gail) Bone of Sedalia, MO, and Philip (Kathy) Bone of Williamsport, IN; a brother, Jerry Bone of Punta Gorda, FL; seven grandchildren, Todd Eades of Sherman, TX, Kerry Henley of Marshall, MO, Tisha Estrada of Danville, Jason Bone of Fuqua Varina, NC, Justin Martin of Danville, Tracy Smiley of Woodstock, GA, and Tiffany Cash of Bismarck; 14 great-grandchildren and a great-great granddaughter, Hayven; and special friends, Sandy Sollars of Westville and Cheryl and Charlie Watts of Covington, IN. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a son, James Bone in 1991, a brother, Keith Bone, and his parents. Bill worked at Heat Craft for 31 years until his retirement and had also owned and operated a small engine repair shop in Arkansas along with Charles Ed Timms. Bill was a member of the American Legion Post #51 in Westville and at Bethel Baptist Church. He loved country music and enjoyed dancing with his wife, Bea. He also liked to shoot pool and play euchre and would often be found fixing cars for those that needed it. A service to celebrate the life of Bill Bone will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at Bethel Baptist Church in Danville. Pastor Mark Carpenter will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 11 AM-1 PM prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or Bethel Baptist Church. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, a Life Celebration Home in Danville is in charge of arrangements.
