William Devore

Danville- William DeVore, 78, of Danville passed away on March 20, 2017 at Danville Care Center. He was born on May 29, 1938 in Danville the son of William and Edith DeVore (Van Dyke) William will be deeply missed by children, Doug (Aleen) DeVore of California and Dawn Duerfeldt of Illinois, sister, Shirlee (David) Fraley of Danville, grandchildren; Kyle Day, Trevor DeVore, Wesley DeVore, Ryan DeVore and Storm Duerfeldt, great-grandchildren, Ari Day and Kya Day, nephews; David, James and William Fraley of Danville, special friend, Pat Ahrens. He was preceded in death by his parents. William was a graduate of Schlarman High School Class of 1956. He also graduated from Southern Illinois University in 1960. William was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, Elks Lodge of Dallas, TX and past President of Illinois Stroke Survivors. A celebration of William's life will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville with Fr. Bowan Schmitt officiating. Visitation will be held from 10-11:00AM prior to the service. Memorials can be made in his name to Illinois Stroke Survivors.
