RIDGE FARM - William Dean Collom, 61, of Ridge Farm passed away at 11:10 a.m. Sunday October 8, 2006 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Champaign, IL. He was born on May 11th 1945 in Danville, the son of William H. and Imogene Johnson Collom. He married Pamala E. Williams on June 19th, 1965. She preceded him in death. Survivors include: his mother, Imogene Johnson Collom; his children, Toni (Jerry) Staub of Ridge Farm, chilly Truelove of Ridge Farm, and Billy (Amber) Collom of Georgetown; his grandchildren, Jacob, Kelby, Sheldon, Zachary, Ostin, Caleb, & Carson. He was preceded in death by his father, William H. Collom. Dean worked at Chicago Molding in Georgetown, IL for seventeen years. He loved playing drums and was a member of the Country Blues Band. His hobbies included working on lawn mowers with his son, mushroom hunting, and wheeling & dealing with just about everything. He was lovingly known as Dad, Papaw, & Dean and will be sadly missed by all. A celebration of Deans life will be held at 3:00pm on Wednesday, October 11th, 2006, at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home in Georgetown. Roger Mertens will officiate. Visitation will be 4-8p on Tuesday, October 10th, 2006, also at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in Whitlock Cemetery in rural Georgetown.
