William C. Wiggins was born on September 27th, 1940 in Herrin, Illinois; the second of four children of William and Kathleen Wiggins.
Not long after graduating high school in Herrin, he joined the Army in 1959. He met the love of his life, his wife Anna Lou Eigenrauch while home on leave in 1963, and the two were later married on August 8th, 1964. Their first child was born to them while stationed in Germany at the Army hospital in Landstuhl on July 27th, 1965. They named him Nick Lloyd. A few months after that, he and his family rotated back to the Statesfrom where he left for Vietnam.
In 1968 two more events transpired to further change his life; the first was the birth of his second child on August 20th, his daughter Nisa Lou. The second was accepting Jesus Christ into his heart as his personal Savior on October 13th. It was this second event that prompted him to leave the military and eventually accepting the call to the ministry.
His life was devoted not only to his family, but the pursuit of a deeper understanding of the Word of God, and bringing people to Christwhich was his lifes mission, initially beginning as a layman for the Billy Graham Crusades in the early 1970s. Recognizing the necessity for formal education in his ministerial pursuits, he went to both Nazarene Bible College(..in Colorado Springs, Colorado), and Olivet Nazarene University, eventually earning his Masters in Divinity. Hes pastored three churches; First Church of the Nazarene in Carbondale, Illinoi and both Northside and Cedar Grove churches of the Nazarene here in Danville.
