William “Bill” A. Wyatt, Sr, 90, of Covington, IN passed away at his home on August 5, 2026 at 7:15 AM.
Bill was born on October 27, 1935 the son of Herbert J. and Mabel A. (Smith) Wyatt in Danville, IL. He married Nancy Ruth Decker on January 31, 1959 in Muncie , IL and she survives.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Wyatt of Covington, IN, his children, William (Cruzema) Wyatt of Lafayette, IN and Jimmy Wyatt of Albertville, AL. He is also survived by six grandchildren and one brother, Robert “Bob” (Pat) Wyatt of Elmo, SC.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents and one son, Donald Rae Wyatt.
Bill retired from Sears after 32 years of service. He served in the United States Army from April 15, 1954 until April 12, 1957 and was a member of the American Legion Post 350 in Perrysville, IN. Bill enjoyed spending his free time fishing, woodworking projects, riding his motorcycles and was an armature ham radio operator with a call sign of K9IWM.
As per Bill’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834 is assisting the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Bill’s memory to the American Legion Post 350 in Perrysville, Indiana.
