William O. Bill, Doodle, and Grandpa Sapp, 69, of Fairmount, IL, passed away at the Florida Heart and Health Division in Sebring, Fl., on February 9, 2009. He was born on July 2, 1939, in Oakwood, IL, the son of Willard Sr. and Zona Sapp. Both deceased. He married Delores Pat Lomax on August 13, 1960. She survives along with their two daughters, Debby (Scott) Zorns of Sebring, FL., formerly of Oakwood, and Beckie (Cyrus) Brown of Alvin, IL. Also surviving are his seven grandchildren, Barry (Marie) Grimm of Oakwood, (Barry currently serving in the U.S. Navy, stationed at NSF Thurmsunt, Maryland), Haley (Kyle) White, Shauna (Aaron) Pitlick, Ashley (Chad) Garrett, ShaKala (Chris) Mau, all of Danville, Sharhea Brown, Skylar Brown, both of Alvin and 9 1/5 great-grandchildren. His two brothers; Willard Jr. (Arleen) Sapp of Danville, Lee (Rita) Sapp of Westville, and his sister, Nina Sue Morris of Westville, also survive Bill. His grandparents also precede Bill in death. Bill worked third shift at the General Motors Tilton Foundry for 38 years in the Pattern Shop located in the North Core Room as a Miscellaneous Machinist, retiring in 1992. He and Pat built their home and then a lake that has later turned into Salt Fork Pay Lake. Bill was known to many of the fisherman as Grandpa. He will be sadly missed by his wife, of 48 years, daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a special nephew.
