WILLIAM BILL ROBERT BLACKFORD II William Bill Robert Blackford II, 31, of Danville, passed away at 3:31 a.m. Wednesday, April 6th, 2011. Bill was born on May 31st, 1979, in Danville, the son of William Bill Blackford and Sheila (Tatar) Edwards. He is survived by his mom- Sheila (Jeff) Edwards of Covington; dad- Bill (Cheryl Groppi) Blackford of Danville; sister- Joy (Mark) Kirts of Mahomet; two nephews- Tanner and Tyler Kirts of Mahomet; daughter- Kelsey Blackford of Oakwood; girlfriend- Lindsay Hale of Oakwood and their son-Evan Blackford; maternal-grandmother- Marilyn Jean Tatar of Danville; maternal great-grandfather- Walter Tatar of Champaign; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents-Melvin and Doris Blackford and maternal grandfather- George Tatar. Bill graduated from Danville High School in 1997. He worked in construction around the Danville area. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing softball, motorcycles, ATVs, woodworking, and was an avid Bears fan. Bill also enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and his dog-Jake. He was greatly loved and will be missed by all of his family and friends. A Celebration of the life of William Bill Robert Blackford II will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 11th, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, a Life Celebration Home, with Pastor Becky Laumeier officiating. Burial will follow the service in Springhill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-5:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family to go towards Bills children, with a trust fund being set up at First Financial Bank in Danville.
