William 'Bill' Patton

URBANA- William P."Bill" Patton, 62, of Urbana, died at 5:33 p.m. (March 7,2013) at home. Bill was born on April 14,1950 in Alhambra, Ca., to Robert and Helen Lannon Patton. He married Karen Surprenant on April 24, 1998, Kankakee. She survives Also surviving are three sons, Chad (Stacy) Patton, Travis Patton, and Mike Patton; one daughter, April Patton; two step-sons, Chris Fagan and Shawn Davison; step-daughter, Tammy (Jerry) Saier; fifteen grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Robert Patton; and son, Danny Patton. William worked for 23 years for Supervalu in Urbana, where he drove a semi. He later worked for 14 years driving for the World Wrestling Entertainment. He enjoyed traveling, Flea Markets, camping, and being a Boy Scout Leader for Troop #114. Bill will fondly be remember for being a hard worker, funny, and a great family man. A service to celebrate and remember the life of William Patton will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 11, 2013, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center Champaign Urbana Chapel, 710 N. Neil St., Champaign. Chaplain Tony Crouch will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to the time of ceremonies.
