William Bill' R. Klein, 70, of Danville, passed away at 6:50am, Thursday, September 25, 2015, at Danville Care Nursing Home. He was born on December 11, 1944, in Danville, IL, the son of William Paul and Bernice {Seidler} Klein. He was united in marriage to Jennifer L. Kammin on December 18, 1965, in Danville. She will miss him dearly. He will also be missed by: his sons, William P. (Misty) Klein of Heyworth, IL, & Robert A. (Anna) Klein of Danville, IL, grandchildren, Samantha Jo, William J., Alex, and Teddy Klein; step-grandchildren, Kendra, Samantha, Sabrina, James and Brett Armstrong and Cheyenne Miller, and one step-great grandchild, Nicholas Miller. His parents preceded him in death. Bill owned Klein Garage and 4 X 4 Shop for many years. He most recently worked as the Service Manager for Walmart Automotive. He was a founding member of the Vermilion County R.C. Club. He belonged to the Middlefork Mud-daubers. Bill was a member of the AC Gilbert Heritage Society and the most prolific Master builder of Erector Model Toys. Bill loved hosting cookouts and wiener roasts and made an awesome fried chicken. He was widely known as a "people" person and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm, Wednesday, September 30, 2015, at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Danville, with Rev. Paul Rebert officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00pm-2:00pm on Wednesday prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be given in Bill's name to Alzheimer's Organization or DACC Foundation Office.
