William 'Bill' Keith Truett Sr.

William Keith Truett, Sr., of Westville, passed away at 3:15am, Thursday, March 21, 2019, at his home. He was born on April 12, 1945, in Ridge Farm the son of William C. and Dorothy {Baird} Truett.

William worked at Hyster as a journeyman for many years. He was a proud Veteran of the US Army and served during the Vietnam Conflict. He enjoyed going fishing & hunting as well as gardening. He was a big fan of Dallas Cowboys, John Wayne, & Clint Eastwood. William loved his dogs, BabyGirl, Fiona, & Jake. He didnt know a stranger and was happy to talk with everyone.

He is survived by his sons, Keith Jr. Truett of Mississippi, John (Joy Barber) Truett of Fithian, & Richard Truett of Westville. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Karen Smoot.

A Memorial Visitation will be 6-8pm, March 26, 2019, at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Westville, located at 414 S. State St. As were his wishes, William be accorded cremation rites.
