William 'Bill' J Miller

The Lord called home William James Miller, 60, of Indianola, IL, on August 12, 2015. Bill was born on June 20, 1955, the fourth child of James Austin & Norma Rose Finkbiner Miller. His father later married Audrey Jordan. Bill married Rebecca Ann Merritt on July 8, 1978. She survives. Together they had two sons, Jay A. (Aimee) Miller and William "Greg" (Cheyenne) Miller. Bill loved spending time with his grandson, Austin James Miller. He is also survived by his Mother, Norma Rose Miller of Hudsonville, IL, and his eight brothers & sisters, as well as many nieces & nephews. Bill attended Indianola & Jamaica Schools where he excelled at playing multiple sports. He attended Northeast Missouri State University on a basketball scholarship. He received a degree in Agriculture from NMSU. Bill lived his entire life on the family farm located outside Indianola. There he raised both crops and beef cattle. Bill enjoyed hitting golf balls in the pasture, riding his bicycle, boating and water skiing with his family. As per his wishes, Bill will be cremated. Memorial Visitation will be held 4pm to 8pm Monday, August 17, 2015, at Sunset's Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, Georgetown. Graveside service will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday, August 18, 2015, at Woodlawn Cemetery, Indianola, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given in his name to Woodlawn Cemetery.
