William 'Bill' Hagley

William 'Bill' Hagley, 78, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at Carle Hospital in Hoopeston, IL. He was born August 26, 1945 the son of Hancel and Verna (Kilbury) Hagley in Danville, IL. He married Paula 'Diane' Moss on January 31,1964.

Bill is survived by his wife of 60 years, Diane; children, Billy (Tricia) Hagley, James (Jessica) Hagley; four grandchildren, Alex, Dalton, Katie, and Lucas; siblings, Robert (Ines) Hagley, Phillip (Caroline) Hagley, and sister-in-law Linda Hagley; several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, two infant sisters, and his sister Ramona and her husband Max Bryant, and brother John Hagley.

Bill was the owner of B & L Auto and Bismarck Lawn & Garden where you would find him working on lawn tractors or having coffee with his friends. Bill enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren when he was not working. He also enjoyed going to Andi Mae's ice cream shop in the evenings with his wife Diane to get an ice cream cone. He was also a member of Bismarck First Church of Christ where you would find him Sunday mornings.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N Vermilion St., Danville, Illinois 61834. Officiating will be Pastor Jim Boudouris. Burial will be in Gundy Cemetery in Danville. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made in Bill's memory to the First Church of Christ in Bismarck, IL.
