William "Bill" Eskew

William “Bill” E. Eskew, age 82, of Covington, Indiana, formerly of Yorkville, Illinois, passed away on January 10, 2026.

Bill was the beloved husband of Helena Eskew, with whom he shared 33 years of marriage. He was a devoted father to Randy (Debbie) Eskew, Tammy (Brian) Becker, Robin (Tanya) Eskew, and a loving stepfather to Nichole (Matthew) Wallace, Andrew (Krista) Ray, Anthony (Erica) Ray.

He was a proud grandfather to 16 grandchildren and great-grandfather to 10 great-grandchildren. Bill will be missed by his brothers and sisters, many aunts, and uncles.

Known to his friends as “Wild Bill” Bill was a hardworking and determined man who built a life around providing for his family. He worked for 17 years at Caterpillar in Aurora, Illinois, owned and operated his own construction company for over 20 years, and later worked for 12 years with Heartland Properties in Danville, Illinois.

Bill lived a full life rich in hard work, family, and friendships. He loved all of his grandchildren deeply and gave them his whole heart. In his free time, he especially enjoyed fishing and mushroom hunting.

In accordance with his wishes, no services will be held, as Bill chose to donate his body to science.
