William 'Bill' Earnest Reynolds

William Bill' Earnest Reynolds, 79, of Georgetown, passed away at 6:12pm, Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at Hawthorne Inn, Danville. He was born the son of Oscar Paul and Juanita (Wann) Reynolds on August 19, 1935, in Danville, IL. He was wed to the love of his life, Shirley Greer, on May 28, 1954, in Collison, IL. She survives. He is also survived by: his sons, Randy (LeeAnn) Reynolds of Mt. Vernon, IN, & Mike (Helena) Reynolds of Mt. Vernon, IN; his daughter, Sandy (Walt) Starr of Catlin; his grandchildren, Tony (Tara) Reynolds, Kyle Starr, Darin (Becky) Reynolds, & Lesli Reynolds; his 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by: his parents; his sisters, Donna Reed, Jean Strachan, & Carol Durell; and an infant sister. Bill worked at Hyster for 34 years and then retired in 1997. He was a proud Veteran of the US Navy Reserves for 26 years. He enjoyed playing music with the Circuit Riders & Mountaineers, playing the bass & lead guitar. They played country gospel and square dances. Bill was an avid Cubs fan and enjoyed going bowling. He always attended his children's functions, no matter what. He was a very devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and will be dearly missed by his family. A celebration of Bill's life will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, May 23, 2015, at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel in Westville with Pastor James Blue officiating. Visitation will be 4pm-7pm, Friday, May 22, 2015, at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Park, Danville, with Military Rites conducted by the American Legion Dornblaser Post #203 of Georgetown. Memorial donations may be given in his name to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Riley's Children's Hospital.
