William Bill Dale Acree Jr., 44, of Alvin, passed away at 11:39 a.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville. Bill was born on June 26, 1964 in Danville, the son of William Dale and Jewell (Dillon) Acree Sr. He married Debra Herron on July 28, 1990 in Alvin. She survives. He is also survived by his two sons- Jonathon (Hope) Bishop and William Daniel Acree both of Alvin; one daughter- Ashley (Harry) Mills of Alvin; four sisters- Thelma (Jeff) Lete of Alvin, Cynthia (Bruce) Phillips of Potomac, Tammy McFadden of Rossville and Crystal (Kevin) Strawser of Alvin; three grandchildren- Savannah Bishop, Harry Frankie Mills IV and Beau Bishop; mother-in-law- Mae Herron of Potomac; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and father-in-law- Roy Herron. Bill attended Rossville Alvin High School. He worked as a mechanic. He attended Alvin Church of God. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting, landscaping, working around his garage and spending time with his family. A Celebration of the Life of William Bill Dale Acree Jr. will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 26, 2009 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Pastor Dave Routien officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00-5:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Gundy Cemetery following the service. Memorials may be to the family.
