William "Bill" Coon, 60, of Fairmount passed away on May 10, 2018 at his home. He was born on December 23, 1957 in Danville, the son of Raymond and (Pauline) Coon. Bill lived in Fairmount, you could find him riding his scooter and soaking up the sunshine in the summer. He loved hanging with his friends, country music, western movies and cold beer. Bill was an avid Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan. Before he was divorced he was married to Kim Wolfe-Coon, who still remains a part of our family. Bill loved spending time with his son Billy and his six beautiful grandkids. His favorite thing to do with them was to give them rides on the scooter when they were little. They have been coming to see grandpa every Saturday and he looks forward to their visits. He has a special place in his heart for his Uncle Ray and can't wait to be with him and his dad and sister. Bill has been able to be at his mother's house for the last few months surrounded with her loving care. Friends and family have been at his side helping to care for him. Our memories of his earlier years have been good conversations. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his mother, Pauline Coon Hendrix; son, William "Billy" Dean (Lacey) Coon; brothers; Raymond Edward Coon, Jr, Ted Ernest (Cintarie) Coon ; sisters; Paulette (Kenneth) Miller, Rosann (Carl) Pinney, Shirley (Steve) Hauger, Rhoda (Tom) Kelly, Chris (Mike) Dougherty, Pam (Bill) Elliott; grandkids; Alexis Lee Anne, Makayla Nichole, Landon Dean, Connor Allen, Brenden Lane, Elena Rayne Coon; and many nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles.
