Willard Thornsbrough

Willard Bob Thornsbrough, age 86, of Danville, passed away at 11:40 am on Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at his home. He was born October 10, 1920 in Danville the son of Banner and Blanche (Dunn) Thornsbrough. Bob married Mauriel June Welch in Danville in 1942. She preceded him in death in 1986. He is survived by four daughters: Beverly (Harry) Rigoulot of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Dianna Thornsbrough of Saratoga, CA, Charlotte (Art) Padgett of Belle, MO; two sons: William Thornsbrough of Belle, MO, Will (Melissa) Thornsbrough of Westville; one sister: Maxine Pallas of Arggle, Michigan; a son-in-law: Jim Rowby of Jackson, Michigan; many grandchildren and several great grandchildren. (Jane and Tom Brown of Tulsa, OK) He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one daughter: Sally Rowby, and one sister: Isabella Lawton. Bob was a foundry worker for 35 years. He worked at G.M. He loved dogs and singing. He was an avid lifelong Cubs fan. Bob will dearly be missed by his family and friends. A celebration of the life of Willard Bob Thornsbrough will be held at 4 pm on Sunday, October 14, 2007 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Pastor James Blue officiating. Burial will follow the next day at Munith Cemetery in Munith, Michigan. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 pm on Saturday, October 13, 2007 at the funeral home.
