Willanna Wasson

Danville- Willanna “Willie” Wasson, 71, of Danville, passed away at 6:08pm on August 18, 2013 at Presence United Samaritans Medical Center. She was born on September 17, 1941 in Danville to Martin Carl Tesch and Muriel Marie Taylor Tesch. She was married to Gordon “Tarz” Wasson in July 1971 in Mississippi. He preceded her in death on September 28, 1988. She is survived by her children Lauri Wasson- Woodard of Champaign, IL and Bobbie Wasson- Woodard of Bloomington, IL. Dewain (Lisa) Wasson of Hudson, WI. Martin Wasson of Tampa, FL. and Gordon (Gina Parrino) Wasson of Atlanta, GA; her brother Roger (Carolyn) Tesch of Eagle River, WI; her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and many special friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her brother William Tesch. Willanna enjoyed playing cards; she also enjoyed reading and fishing. Willanna also loved to cook; she owned and operated a restaurant in Ridge Farm, IL. She was also an animal lover and she worked as an animal control officer for Vermilion County. A celebration of Willannas life will be held on a later date for a private family service.
