Perrysville, Ind. -- Wilbur "Bud" Luth, 92, formerly of Perrysville, Indiana and a resident of The Waters of Covington in Covington, Indiana for the past 3 years, passed away at 9 a.m. CST Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville, Illinois. He was born April 12, 1916, in Broadlands, Illinois, the son of the late Joseph H. and Amanda E. Giertz Luth. He married Imojean Jones on August 14, 1949 in Danville, Illinois. She survives. Other survivors include his children: Marilyn Parker of Grand Rapids, Michigan; James(Sandy)Cawthon of Gessie, Indiana; Merry Carol(Richard)Ruthven of Cream Ridge, New Jersey and Laury(Teila)Luth of Perrysville, Indiana; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister, Hilma Barham. Bud was a retired farmer. He was a veteran of W.W. II serving with the United States Army Air Force. He was a member of the Wabash Chapel Church south of Covington, Indiana. Bud was a former cub scout leader. He enjoyed farming and was very active in the church. Memorial services: 2 p.m. EST Saturday, January 24, 2009 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Rev. Andy Spencer. Cremation was requested.
